Markela and Aleks’s joint presentation will give an overview of revolutionary art movements and artists.

Dr. Markela Panegyres is an artist and a 91̳ subeditor. Markela works across performance, video and installation. She is a casual academic at Sydney University and UTS, and is a member of the University of Sydney's Casuals Network.
Dr. Aleks Wansbrough is author of Capitalism and the Enchanted Screen, a writer for 91̳, editor for The Journal of Asia-Pacific Pop Culture, chair and co-founder of Inhuman Screen Conference, a member of Socialist Alliance, a casual lecturer at Sydney College of the Arts at Sydney University, with a number of academic peer-reviewed articles on art, film and philosophy. He is totally opposed to capitalist conceptions of education and art.
