Why
As another year of corporations profiting off ecosystem destruction passes, Governments all over the world continue to fail to legitimately address climate collapse at their annual COP meetings.
This years UN Conference Of the Parties will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan between 11 - 22 Nov.
COP 29 have noted they would like to prioritise 鈥渂uilding on the momentum of COP28鈥 and 鈥渢ranslate discussions into tangible action and implementation鈥 when they meet this year.
CLIMATE COP OUT is here to remind them that they've had 29 YEARS of discussions to ride the momentum and provide tangible action. Where exactly has that gotten us? Empty promises, meaningless action and a deteriorating climate.

It鈥檚 time for climate aligned groups and individuals to collectively organise!
CLIMATE COP OUT is a collaborative space for people to unite through a period of action. A series of recurring events that can grow each year to connect and funnel new energy into the climate movement.
Last year the community came together for 4 days to SPEAK OUT, STEP OUT AND DISRUPT the cop out that was COP28. Strategies, discussions, meals and music were shared and a period of protests were put on.
We are calling out for grassroots groups across the continent to join us in Sydney and organise protests or workshops this November. Any and all actions that don鈥檛 harm living things are welcome.

These events will be taking place on the stolen and unceded Gadigal lands. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land. There鈥檚 no climate justice without Indigenous justice!
