[UPDATE - EVENT CANCELLED] Just as it did after the 2014 and 2019, the Erdogan regime in Turkey has begun removing democratically elected Kurdish mayors and replacing them with stat-appointed trustees. Three co-mayors from the Kurdish-majority cities — Mardin (Mêrdîn), Batman (Elîh) and Halfeti (Xelfêtî) — were removed this week.
