Israel has launched a war, and a calculated genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. This brutal campaign, spanning over 75 years of relentless apartheid and ethnic cleansing, has escalated into one of the most heinous crimes of the 21st century. With over 20,000 Palestinians mercilessly killed while 1000s remain missing under the rubble, Gaza lies in ruins, its housing, hospitals and infrastructure obliterated.
In this dire context, the silence and complicity of the Australian Government, politicians and media are not just appalling but criminal. They have turned a blind eye, and worse, some have even applauded Israel's barbaric actions. The truth about Gaza's plight is systematically buried, and the rights of Palestinians are trampled upon with shocking disregard.
The people of Brimbank refuse to stand idly by in the face of these atrocities. We are mobilizing a rally to strongly demand that our political leaders break their silence and unequivocally condemn Israel's egregious crimes against humanity.
