Why

Refugee Action Collective will be putting on a protest exhibition in November, entitled 25 Years of Refugee Resistance. Ìý

From the explosion of the refugee movement under John Howard to the struggles for permanent visas and justice for refugees under Anthony Albanese, the movement of refugees and supporters fighting back against racist Government policies has a long and vibrant history.

We want to showcase some of that history of the last 25 years through a visual exhibition that gives the public a unique opportunity to learn about and reflect on the past struggles of refugees, the situation for refugees in Australia now and to develop a stronger political understanding of what's needed in the fight for refugee rights today.Ìý
