Why

The latest outbreak of fighting didn't just begin when Palestinian fighters broke out of Gaza.

Its fundamental roots go back to the Zionist project to establish an exclusively Jewish state, Israel, on land already occupied by Palestinian Arabs.

Israel is an ethno-state, a Jewish state where Palestinians have starkly less rights. It has been described as a system of apartheid. Gaza was cut out of this state in 1994 to remove a demographic threat to Jewish supremacy.

Thus was created a massive open-air prison for 2.3 million Palestinians who are condemned to a hellish existence. No one should be surprised that they have revolted against their oppressors.
