Conference organisers are excited to announce that will host the biggest delegation of Asia-Pacific activists to the conference since 2019.

But to make this possible, !

Under the theme, , Ecosocialism 2025 will once again feature representatives from organisations in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, India and Pakistan.

This year, we are also happy to announce they will be joined by new delegations from Indonesia, South Korea and the United States.

Organisers are working to ensure that at least 10 activists from across the region attend the conference in Naarm/Melbourne over September 5-7 which, once again, is being organised by 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳, Socialist Alliance, LINKS International Journal of Socialist Renewal and Resistance Books.

But to make this a reality, we need your financial support.

That is why we are launching a  to raise $5000 towards the costs of funding activists from the region to attend.

Conference organisers have always prioritised inviting representatives from people’s organisations in neighbouring Global South countries involved with grassroots activism over academics or non-government organisation representatives.

While the latter can often rely on external funding sources for regular trips abroad, the former have very few resources, meaning organisers have to cover speakers’ costs to ensure they can participate.

But we think this is a cost worth bearing.

Australia’s strategic location in the region, and close alliance with United States imperialism, means activists here have an important responsibility to build links with others in the Asia-Pacific who are campaigning against the US-led war drive.

That is why we place more importance on ensuring participation from organisations in the region, to maximise collaboration and the sharing of campaign-building experiences.

But, as the number of representatives grows, so do the costs. This year we hope to welcome at the conference:

  • Ìý²¹²Ô»å  from the Socialist Party of Malaysia;
  •  from the Party of the Labouring Masses (the Philippines);
  • Ìý²¹²Ô»å  from the Socialist Union (Indonesia);
  •  from the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation;
  •  from the People’s Rights Party (Pakistan);
  •  from Pnyx — Korean Institute for Marxist Studies;
  •  from the Bread & Roses caucus inside the Democratic Socialists of America; and
  • A representative from a progressive organisation in Singapore.

But this will only be possible with your help.

Please consider making a contribution towards Ìý²¹²Ô»å help build a stronger movement for peace with justice in the region, by helping get these activists to Ecosocialism 2025.
