SYDNEY — Up to 400 people marched from Wiley Park to Lakemba on July 2 in support of a free Palestine and against the latest Israeli offensive. Chants at the protest included "Israel, you will see — Palestine will be free" and "Israel must learn — refugees will return". The rally was chaired by Palestinian activist Rihab Charida and speakers included Raul Bassi from the Socialist Alliance. A statement was also read out from Greens Senator Kerry Nettle. The protest demanded an end to the killings, the economic blockade and the border closures.
