UNITED STATES: 300,000 march for immigrant rights

On March 10, some 300,000 people protested in Chicago in defence of immigrant rights. Three days earlier, 20,000 people marched in Washington against proposed legislation that would criminalise undocumented migrants and those who support them, as well as funding the construction of a huge wall on the border with Mexico. The Chicago protest involved Mexican, Polish, Irish, South Asian, Arab and other migrants, as well as delegations from community groups, schools, unions and workplaces. For more information visit .
