Trump's mass deportations, often in defiance of the US Supreme Court, has created a wave of horror across the US and the world. Less known is his government's cruel freeze on refugee resettlement, which he imposed on his first day on office (although he has just welcomed a group of white South African farmers as 'refugees').
There is a lot of unfinished business that the refugee rights movement has with the freshly re-elected Albanese government, including overturning Morrison's ban on resettling 13000 UN-recognised refugees from Indonesia.

Speakers:
Sanmati Verma (Legal Director, Human Rights Law Centre)
Hashmat Hazara refugee teacher based in Cisarua, whose resettlement to the US has been halted
Video by Setayish, an 11 year old Afghan refugee whose family has waited for resettlement for 10 years.
Mark Goudkamp (RAC) on Trump's deportations & refugee freeze
