The eviction of Palestinian residents of Sheikh Jarrah, in East Jerusalem, the storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque and the most recent bombing of Gaza, which killed 256 people, including 66 children, have once again focused attention on the crimes of apartheid Israel. Palestinian protests in every part of historic Palestine have been met with a campaign of arrests, violence and intimidation. Yet Palestinians remain defiant in the face of 73 years of Israeli occupation, ethnic cleansing and apartheid policies that make them second class citizens in their own land.
