Disgracefully the LNP is considering criminalising public drunkenness in QLD.

This goes against the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal deaths in custody handed down 35 years ago.

A state parliamentary report in 2022 also found a strong correlation between intoxication and higher risk of dying in custody.

This latest attack is the next in line from the LNP, who in under a year have introduced sentencing children as adults and repealed the Path to Treaty act.
