Why
SAGE is a community for all folks who love and care for our planet. Our monthly gatherings are a space to nourish each other, so that we can nourish our world.
Join us for an evening of delicious food, hearty discussion and new skills. The night will start with a shared meal, then we will move into community announcements, then into open space workshops, with lots of space for social breaks throughout.
October will be the first SAGE at the Conservation Council's new building, the Exchange! We're trialling this new space for the final two SAGEs of the year to see if it suits our needs, so come help us pressure test it.
Our theme this month is 'Conflict is a portal: “We will not cancel us”'. Our main session will dive into how we handle harm and disagreement in our movements - exploring cancel culture, conflict, and transformative justice as tools for collective growth. Together we’ll unpack how to stay grounded, repair trust, and build stronger, more resilient communities that can hold complexity and keep moving toward liberation.
But the main session is never the only one! As always, anyone can come run a session, whether it’s on the theme or on anything else they like.
